In & Out of Time by Maya Angelou
I love this poem by Maya Angelou. She's one of my favorite poets and such an inspiring woman and creative figure.
The sun has come.
The mist has gone.
We see in the distance...
our long way home.
I was always yours to have.
You were always mine.
We have loved each other in and out of time.
When the first stone looked up at the blazing sun
and the first tree struggled up from the forest floor
I had always loved you more.
You freed your braids...
gave your hair to the breeze.
It hummed like a hive of honey bees.
I reached in the mass for the sweet honey comb there....
Mmmm...God how I love your hair.
You saw me bludgeoned by circumstance.
Lost, injured, hurt by chance.
I screamed to the heavens....loudly screamed....
Trying to change our nightmares into dreams...
The sun has come.
The mist has gone.
We see in the distance our long way home.
I was always yours to have.
You were always mine.
We have loved each other in and out
in and out
in and out
of time.

Spotted on Etsy: Flowers From Fatima
Oh, how I love a pretty flower hair accessory!
But lets admit it, those available in the market can be pretty dorky and even cheap looking.
That is why I am smitten with FlowersFromFatima. This Etsy store specializes in floral hair and fashion accessories. The line inspired by hope, positive energy, and love for nature. All her pieces are feminine and cute without being too over the top.
So come on in and stay awhile . . . in FlowersFromFatima -- soon to be your favorite fashion accessories boutique!

African Sun Hibiscus Hair Pin
Lilac White Headband
Beach Fruit Headband
Pink and Silver Rose Hair Clip
I am 20 years old, from Cincinnati, OH. I am currently attending Xavier University as a Spanish Major, Advertising Minor. I have always enjoyed the arts, from producing electronic music to creating my floral designs. I've been doing both for about 10 years now and have decided to become my own business woman. I am a lover of all things beautiful, natural, and positive and I hope to share it with you through my work...
Growing up, my father decided to pursue a family run program for the improvement of our Low-Income neighborhood. Alone, our family turned the urban slum into a paradise. It was then, 7 years ago, that I found an attraction for natural beauty and have grown to connect with our Mother Nature. Recently, my father passed, but his vision and dream of hope lives on through my flowers. Be beautiful naturally, let positive energy follow, and give the world a bright and hopeful image to admire.
